During the months of January, February and March, the Captain Lou Fleet features the Offshore Wreck Series. These 18-hour trips target jumbo sea bass, codfish, pollock, hake, haddock, wolfish and ling on wrecks in the 60-80 mile range. Our offshore wreck trips are well known for the fast and furious action they provide. These trips boast some of the best offshore fishing the Atlantic Ocean has to offer with double and triple headers galore. Sea bass to 6-7 lbs., cod and pollock to 30-50 lbs. and “baseball bat” ling are seen every winter on our offshore wreck trips. Even some flounder, fluke and blues have gotten into the mix. If bottom fishing excites you, then get on board for our Offshore Wreck Series and see what lurks in the darkened depths in the dead of winter. We supply fresh clams for bait.

Offshore Wreck Series Checklist:
* Medium to heavy action boat rod with 4/0-6/0 reel (rentals available)
* 40-60 lb. test line
* Foul weather gear and boots
* Winter clothing, gloves and hat (temperatures often reach sub-zero)
* Cooler for food and beverages (food and beverages available)
* Pillow and blanket
* Coolers, totes or boxes for fish storage
* Camera

Raritan Bay
During the months of March and April, we have added full-day Raritan Bay trips to our sailing schedule. In recent years, the flounder fishing in the Raritan Bay area has been red hot during these first few months of the season. So far this season, these trips have produced fish up to 3 lbs. As the weather gets hotter, so does the action! We supply fresh mussels for bait. We also supply clam chum. In addition, worms are available for purchase aboard the vessel.

Gerritsen Beach
Also during the months of March and April, the Captain Lou VI will be sailing out of Gerritsen Beach, NY.  The spring flounder season has produced some great fishing in this area so we have relocated a vessel just to "put you on the meat!"  We supply fresh mussels for bait.  We also supply clam chum.  In addition, worms are available for purchase aboard the vessel.

Reservations
Reservations are a must on all offshore special trips. All major credit cards are accepted. Boarding goes in order of reservation with a limit of 30 passengers on each trip.
